What courses do the UC schools review when looking at applications? My student's unweighted GPA is affected by the mandatory religious courses he takes for his school. Does the UC school system not take certain courses into account?

My student's high school gave him one credit for the AP world history exam that he took in 8th grade and got a 4. However, on his high school transcript, it showed as "Pass" instead of a letter grade, and even though it's given as one credit (1 yr), it only displayed as one semester on transcript. Does this meet the History requirement as part of the A-G UC requirements?
